Deviate Films is a production company founded in 2020 by freeskiing visionaries Torin Yater Wallace and Jossi Wells. Ever since Torin chose to transition from his career as a decorated halfpipe skier, he has shifted his focus to capturing creativity in the backcountry and street skiing. The name Deviate in itself comes from “switching lanes” from what is or was the norm. “My goal with Deviate was to capture the culture of skiing while putting together a group of likeminded talents on both sides of the lens”. Torin and the rest of the Deviate crew are currently underway with production of their 4th film, releasing in Fall 2023.
